Cafeteria Alternatives was formed in 1996 as an alternative to the antiquated food-service environments of large corporations and hospitals. With full-service restaurant, vending and catering operations, Cafeteria Alternatives offer a variety of food options and a more continental dining atmosphere. 

Prior to the founding of Cafeteria Alternatives, its ownership operated 18 deli, plant and factory cafeteria operations in two states as well as four off-track betting parlors throughout Illinois.
